Charlie was the Group Chief Risk Officer at IG Markets, a market leader in providing online trading platforms for retail derivatives traders with cryptocurrency trading capabilities. He led the independent risk function which oversees control of the firm’s market, credit and operational risk exposures, and the firms regulatory capital adequacy.
Prior to joining IG, Charlie spent 4 years as Head of Operational Risk Control for UBS Investment Bank, running a team of risk controllers supporting the Investment Bank globally.
Prior to this Charlie worked for PwC as a risk management consultant supporting global clients in a wide range of risk, capital and liquidity management projects, including several assignments to assist clients with risk remediation programmes arising from the Global Financial Crisis.
Charlie also served as an officer in the British Army prior to joining the FS industry.
